FEBRUARI 2

I found some more dead links, fixed them.

FEBRUARI 1,2003

I have decided to start updating the site again. Don't ask me why.
All faulty Jpegs and links have been restored.

The tickler has been downloaded about 6000 times now.

Squall has been downloaded well over 25.000 times.
I'm rather pleased with that.

MAY 1

I have completely redesigned the site. Some things don't work quite as well as I would like yet, others don't work at all.

I'm still working on some replacement Graphs but its late now. I'm going to bed

JANUARY 12

Epicknights is live again! Planet Unreal is graciously hosting the internets most important UT information vault.

Congratulations MrGreen!

JANUARY 9

It seems I have made a slight error in the Ticklers UMOD installation file. I have misplaced two lines ment for the Unrealtournament.ini. As a result the Tickler can't be used in multiplayer. I have made a new UMOD and distributed it to everyone that recieved the first version.

There is a solution to the problem for those people  that downloaded the bugged Tickler. Sorry about this people.

Open your Unrealtournament.ini, this is found in your Unrealtournament\system folder.
Find this area:

[Engine.GameEngine]
CacheSizeMegs=4
UseSound=True
ServerActors=IpDrv.UdpBeacon
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerQuery
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=unreal.epicgames.com MasterServerPort=27900
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master0.gamespy.com MasterServerPort=27900
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.mplayer.com MasterServerPort=27900

ServerPackages=Botpack
ServerPackages=MultiMesh
ServerPackages=Relics
ServerPackages=EpicCustomModels
ServerPackages=TCowMeshSkins
ServerPackages=TNaliMeshSkins
ServerPackages=TSkMSkins
ServerPackages=SkeletalChars

At the bottom of this could be a lot more serverpackeges, Depending on how many mod's you installed.

Add the following two lines.

ServerPackages=tickler
ServerPackages=ticklerskins

Save and exit your Unrealtournament.ini.

Problem solved.

JANUARY 8

Updated the models page, the links page and the downloads page. Plus I finally put in the 'about' page

The Tickler is now availble from Identity crisis. Thanks to Lawgiver for that one. Polycount will hopefully review it sometime soon but I think that might take quite a while. They have a backlist a mile long.

Speaking about Polycount. Gamespy has informed Rogue13 (polycounts founder) that they are only second to fileplanet, in terms of amount of space thay take up on the servers harddrives.

JANUARY 7

The Tickler is finished! Download it now! There are two skins for the model. One realativly normal and with a sight to help it aim. The other is a scarred cyborg skin, being a cyborg it has no need for any external sighting aids. It has it all build into its eyes.

Special thanks to Psychic_1313. This friendly dude provided me with bits of code needed to synch the footstep sound with the 'footfalls' of the model.

Thanks to everyone over at Polycount for being a bunch of constructive critics.

Check out the models page ( button on the left) for more info on the Tickler.

JANUARY 3 THE YEAR 2002

Happy new year to everyone. May this year bring fortune to you all.

There was a great party on Newyears eve in my hometown. In Scheveningen, A part of The Hague that lies at the North Sea, you can find a long structure build outward into the ocean. It is bassicly a promenade with several buldings dotted across its top. We call it the "Pier". The next building on it will be a small skyscraper. That will be a strange sight indeed. To see a highrise building rising up out of the water over 100 meters (+/- 300 Ft) away from the shore. Enough Rambling, I'll move on. A friend of mine and some of his got together and rented one of the buildings on the Pier. They got bartenders, DJ's and proffessional lighting. They went all the way and the result was one the greatest newyear partys ever (for a small crowd that is).

I have been working on a Sephiroth (from Final Fantasy 7) ppm (Plug-in Player Model) for UT for some time now. progress has been slow because I give prority to the Tickler ppm. Today a good web buddy The one true Sephiroth  pointed out that some one has beaten me to the punch. The Quake 3 mod "Elemental battle grounds" has made a Sephiroth ppm for Q3. Fortunatly there is no Sephiroth for UT as yet so I can still release that (unless, ofcoarse, somone else does it first).

Work on the Tickler is slow as I have no ideas for the teamskins. I refuse to make some basic recolors of the original skin. I want to do something new for each team.

NOVEMBER 21

Today is the day I can finally upload again. I'll be updating my entire site today. I hope that TheOneTrueSephiroth will finally stop nagging me about updating (he is very right, I should update at least twice a month).

I am almost done with the skin for 'the Tickler', its my first skin using a tablet. I have updated the pics over on the models page.

The tickler viewpoint 3d page has been updated as well. Its 108kb so it will load slowly on 56k.

If anybody can think of a good name for 'the Tickler' then please let me know.

NOVEMBER 15

I have purchased a Wacom Intuos graphics tablet to skin my models. Previously I used cut and paste from source material I gathered on the web. For example Squalls jacket, A japanese company that is specialised in game outfits has made a squall outfit. I textured Squall using a photo from that excact jacket.

NOVEMBER 10

Well Today Gekitsu Opened his very own website at Polycount. You will never guess its name... its Gekitsu's Junkyard.

I really dont care that someone is using the same name and neither does Gekitsu. The Junkyards are the best.

OCTOBER 10

I have added the links page. I'm slowly adding bits to the page  whenever I have the time.

CharacterFX is a shareware animation package by Insane Software that supports inverse kinematics and weighted vertices. the good part is that it has support for the milkshape ASCII format. Considering the fact that the Ms3d animation system is absolutely crap this is something for every Ms3d user.

SEPTEMBER 3

Finished the new look. Added new logo. Added viewpoint 3d files. Added the models page.

JULY 16

The Squall model is finally avaible for download, get it here. I had made some slight mistakes with the readme file and and an .ini file but that's all sorted now.

So download Squall for Unreal Tournament now.

A big thanks goes out to:

- Ram2000  for posting my first proper game model (Squall) and awarding it five stars.

- Skincity for posting the Squall model and making it 'model of the moment'.

-Polycount posting and reviewing it.

-Everyone at the Epicknights forum for tips and advice

JUNE 9

I have started work on a new UT model. It's based on an drawing I did on a door several years ago. Back then I named it 'Dreamwanderer' but I'll try to think of a better one.

MAY 30

I added the animated logo, it was designed by Bazzz.

The fact that it is not animating to well has more to do with my lack of webpublishing skills then Bazzz's animating skill, it's running fine offline.

MAY 28

I finally have some free time to make this site look a little better. I have placed all the posts in a more logical order, last post on the top. I have added frames as well, makes it look a bit more organized.

I feel the Squall model is just about finished now and I am going to upload the model to polycount when I am done typing this. I hope they will post it

Here are some ingame shots

MAY 21

These pics show a little progress, limbs have been lenghtend slightly and I gave him a bit more of the V-shape that seems to be essential to the male model. These changes were sugested by Henfruit

Also I slapped on a bit of a texture, but that still needs a lot of tweeking.

APRIL 24

While reading through the posts on the Epicknights forum I came across a request for a UT model. Jay was asking for a Squall Leonhart plug-in model. Being a bit of a Final Fantasy fan myself I decided to give it a try. this is my third model and I'll try to make it good enough to release. Any comments will be extremely welcome.

THE TIME BEFORE I FINALLY DID SOMETHING WITH MY DOMAIN...

I registered it, then I spend some time thinking about it.

Then I ignored it for a few weeks.
